The Pro is exactly the same, but just has a black "cool" color and a little more resistance on the throttle. I would advise people who are in doubt between this and the Pro version to take this one. It is therefore best to download the latest drivers directly from the Saitek website. Only the supplied software I would not use because it is somewhat outdated. You can even set the sliders to use as buttons. You can set each button separately as you want.

Ever since I've been playing Elite with this HOTAS I've been flying like I'm actually in a spaceship. I wanted a HOTAS for Elite:Dangerous and Star Citizen, because mouse & keyboard alone didn't give me the accuracy.
